The varitey of restaurants in Kamala alone is amazing. You can have the street vendors selling there fried chicken-wings, fired bananas, POCK POCK:
a very spicey, I mean very very spicy thai salad, basicly chili with something little else...or you can go for the Tatler - Thailand award winning restaurants like Rockfish. Of course the main dish in and around Kamala is SEAFOOD like i.e. the "Kamala Dreams Restaurant" but there is no shortage of international cuisine.

Of course you can leave kamala in the search of good food and end up either in the culinary haven of Twinpalms Resort with excellent food at reasonable prices. Twinpalms also has a restaurant towards the beach called Catch - a chic affair featuring live music and a relaxed ambience and Twinpalms Resort also delivers the most popular Sunday brunch in surin. Or you on the north shore of Patong Beach the Baan Rim Pa, which specializes in superb Royal Thai cuisine in a decidedly regal setting, offering dishes created in the kitchens of the Royal Palace. The views out over Patong Bay are every bit as impressive as the food.

Next door lies the newly opened Joe's Downstairs, with an eclectic menu and a relaxed atmosphere that could make it one of the best restaurants on the island. Rounding out this troika of delights is Da Maurizio, which brings a touch of continental sophistication with its first-class contemporary Italian cuisine. All three of these restaurants are award winning and have celebrated wine lists. Further up the coast is the White Box – a trendy, younger-crowd fine dining experience.

The 9th floor in Patong features sliding floor-to-ceiling glass windows so the 9th floor open air restaurant and bar is the highest open air restaurant in Phuket....and there are 180 wines to choose from, well trained beautiful staff and of courese...exellent food.
